Mr. Castjohn is a lifelong resdient of the New Orleans area. He was introduced to the construction trade by his father, who was a superintendent for BOH Brothers Construction. Beginning at the age of nine, he worked with his father on family-owned residential properties, gaining a wide range of experience in many construction related trades.
In 1981 he founded Renovate, Inc., with an initial focus of residential remodeling, but his skills and talents soon allowed his expansion into light commercial and fire and water damage construction. Through his efforts and guidance, Renovate, Inc. has emerged as an industry leader in disaster reconstruction.
He has been an active member of the Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans since 1982 and has served as a director on the HBA Board of Directors for many years. He has actively been involved in the Remodelors Council of the HBA and has served as Council Chairman in 1984, 2003, and now in 2007. Over the years he has served on many HBA committees and has been active in working to implement legislation to protect the community by improving the standards for licensing in the remodeling industry.
Frank Castjohn is a Louisiana licensed general contractor and a nationally "Certified Remodeler," a designation earned by less than one=percent of the remodelers nationwide.
